Discover Impactful Work:
At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll contribute to warehouse operations with direct impact on our high-tech production facility. As Warehouse Supervisor, you'll oversee daily logistics operations while developing a collaborative team focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence. You'll manage receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure accurate, timely material handling for our production lines and customers. Using Lean methodology and our Practical Process Improvement (PPI) system, you'll support continuous improvement and optimize workflows while maintaining rigorous compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements specific to high-tech manufacturing.
A Day in the Life:
  • Supervise daily warehouse operations in a high- tech production environment.
  • Ensure efficient material flow to support production schedules.
  • Manage inventory accuracy.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize material handling processes.
  • Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
  • Manage and develop a team of warehouse personnel.
  • Maintain and improve inventory management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with production planners to meet manufacturing demands.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Keys to Success:
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Associate's degree preferred plus 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience in a Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field within a highly technical organization (equivalent combinations of education and relevant work experience may be considered).
  • Industry certifications like APICS, LEAN, and Six Sigma are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and lean methodologies.
  • Experience with cGMP, ISO, and regulatory compliance in a high- tech manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic production environment.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and shipping regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various temperature environments (ambient, cold storage, freezer).
  • Ability to work different shifts and occasional overtime as needed.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
  • Experience managing inventory accuracy and cycle counting programs in a high- tech production setting.
  • Familiarity with high-tech manufacturing processes and materials a plus.
