Job description

Flexjet is hiring a Reliability Engineer to join our team at our Flexjet facility in Cleveland, Ohio. The selected candidate will primarily focus on evaluation and analysis of maintenance data to drive continuous improvement in aircraft availability, dispatch reliability, operating costs, and owner satisfaction. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform analysis of negative maintenance trends for root cause and develop corrective action recommendations
  • Analyze engineering and technical data from aircraft maintenance logs, aircraft service records, teardown reports, and shop finding reports to determine cause and failure trends
  • Collect data from maintenance and engineering systems and perform statistical analysis to monitor and evaluate technical and operational performance
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis for events when a variation to a performance standard has triggered an alert
  • Coordinate between internal teams and OEM or 3 rd party engineering to implement corrective actions
  • Present reliability metrics and findings in Technical Working Group (TWG) and Continuing Analysis Surveillance System (CASS) meetings
  • Monitor maintenance delays, cancellations, and in-flight incidents for trends and alerts
  • Reliability Engineer reports directly to the Reliability Manager.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, data science, or related discipline or 2 years aviation maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Reliability analysis experience preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power Bi, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of VBA and Python languages a plus
  • Must possess strong communication skills, be able to translate technical concepts in lay terms, and be conformable speaking publicly
  • Must pay fanatical attention to detail
  • Occasional travel (<10%) required
  • Ability to monitor trends, identify recurring aircraft discrepancies and drive long-term reliability recommendations
  • Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs.
  • Ability to function effectively individually or as a team member.
  • Successful candidate will be highly motivated individual and a self-starter who works effectively under pressure and within time constraints.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Must be willing to work flexible schedules.
