You will partner closely with engineering, supply chain, HR, and commercial sales teams to build scalable compliance frameworks that mitigate legal risk while driving operational growth.

Role

  • Lead the strategy, daily administration, and continuous enhancement of the company's trade and regulatory compliance program
  • Serve as the subject matter expert across key regulatory domains, including ITAR, EAR, OFAC sanctions, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and FAR/DFARS provisions
  • Classify complex technical data, hardware, software, and defense services against the Commerce Control List (CCL) and United States Munitions List (USML)
  • Evaluate emerging business initiatives and foreign engagements to determine regulatory requirements; prepare and manage export authorizations, licenses, or agreements as operational needs arise

  • Partner across engineering, supply chain, HR, and commercial sales teams to manage foreign national access, establish Technology Control Plans (TCPs), and review vendor/partner agreements
  • Support regulatory compliance aspects of U.S. Government business, including ethics program alignment, mandatory disclosures, and foreign ownership/influence considerations
  • Lead internal compliance reviews and risk audits; draft voluntary self-disclosures or regulatory filings as required
  • Develop and deliver company-wide training on export controls, anti-bribery, trade compliance, and corporate ethics
  • Track changes in federal laws and trade policies to update internal standards and operational procedures accordingly

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, international relations, legal studies, logistics, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 4+ years of hands-on regulatory compliance experience, with core expertise in U.S. export controls (ITAR/EAR)
  • Working knowledge of OFAC sanctions, FCPA anti-corruption standards, and USG contracting compliance rules (FAR/DFARS)
  • Familiarity with U.S. government filing systems, such as DECCS and SNAP-R
  • Strong ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for technical and business partners
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with meticulous attention to detail and a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple compliance projects, and solve problems independently in a fast-paced environment

Bonus

  • J.D.
  • Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO) or other recognized trade compliance certification
  • Prior experience in the aerospace, defense, satellite, or advanced hardware manufacturing industries
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government (USG) contracting compliance, FAR/DFARS requirements, or CFIUS regulations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. federal security clearance
