THE TEAM
As part of the Food & Beverage Division, which focuses on delivering exceptional culinary, wine, beverage, and hospitality experiences throughout the resort, this role contributes to the strategic leadership and operational excellence of all restaurant and bar operations at Rosewood Calistoga. You will report directly to the Director of Food & Beverage, collaborating closely with Culinary, Wine, Beverage, Events, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Talent & Culture teams.
YOUR ROLE
This role is pivotal in shaping Rosewood Calistoga's dining and beverage experiences by providing strategic leadership across all restaurant, bar, lounge, and event operations. You will be responsible for driving guest satisfaction, operational excellence, financial performance, and team engagement while ensuring every outlet reflects Rosewood's commitment to Relationship Hospitality.
As a business leader and hospitality ambassador, you will establish and uphold service standards, optimize profitability, develop high-performing teams, and foster innovation across the resort's food and beverage venues. You will play a critical role in supporting the pre-opening journey and positioning Rosewood Calistoga as one of California wine country's premier culinary destinations.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE PLACE
  • Lead all restaurant, bar, wine, and outlet operations, ensuring alignment with Rosewood brand standards and business objectives
  • Support pre-opening strategy and execution, overseeing all restaurant and outlet operational activities in close partnership with peers and the corporate team
  • Partner with Culinary, Wine, and Beverage leaders to create exceptional dining experiences that celebrate Northern California's food and wine culture
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, labor management, revenue optimization, and cost controls across all restaurant operations
  • Drive service excellence through the development and implementation of operational standards, policies, procedures, and training programs
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout restaurant and bar venues, engaging guests and coaching teams to deliver exceptional experiences
  • Lead marketing activations, programming, partnerships, and promotional initiatives that strengthen awareness and drive revenue growth
  • Participate in pricing, yield management, and commercial strategies that maximize outlet profitability and performance
  • Oversee inventory controls, purchasing standards, beverage operations, and menu profitability initiatives
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement across all Food & Beverage teams
  • Lead recruitment, training, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives to build a high-performing and diverse team
  • Ensure compliance with California labor laws, food safety requirements, alcohol service regulations, safety standards, and company policies
  • Represent the Food & Beverage division in leadership meetings and contribute to hotel-wide strategic initiatives
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders regarding outlet performance, guest feedback, operational priorities, and business objectives

COULD THIS BE YOU?
  • You have 7-10+ years of progressive leadership experience within luxury hotel Food & Beverage operations, destination resorts, or multi-unit restaurant environments.
  • You possess significant experience overseeing multiple restaurants, bars, lounges, and special event operations.
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or possess equivalent professional experience.
  • You have previously contributed to the successful pre-opening of a luxury hotel, resort, or hospitality concept.
  • You demonstrate proven leadership capabilities with a strategic mindset, strong business acumen, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • You possess excellent financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, cost controls, and revenue optimization.
  • You exhibit exceptional communication, presentation, coaching, and relationship management skills.
  • You have a deep understanding of guest-centric service, luxury hospitality standards, and personalized experiences.
  • You are knowledgeable with all relevant hospitality, food safety, workplace safety, and employment regulations, positioning you as a knowledgeable operational leader within California and the United States.
  • You possess knowledge of California labor laws, wage-and-hour compliance, Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) standards, ABC regulations, and Cal/OSHA requirements.
  • You have experience leading and developing diverse teams in fast-paced luxury hospitality environments.
  • You are knowledgeable about industry trends, food and beverage innovation, luxury dining experiences, and competitive market dynamics.
  • Experience within Napa Valley, Sonoma County, or other luxury wine-country destinations is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of California wines, regional producers, and beverage programming further strengthens your profile.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are considered an asset.

The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $145,000 annually. This is the pay range for this position that the company reasonably expects to pay. This position also may be eligible for bonuses. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on several factors, such as experience, type of experience, location, and education.
