Regional Operations Manager - Veterinary Practices (Remote | Multi-State Travel)
Innovetive Petcare is looking for a dynamic and experienced veterinary operations leader to join our team as a Regional Operations Manager (ROM). This remote leadership role is ideal for a motivated individual with multi-site, multi-sttae veterinary management experience and a passion for supporting hospital success.
Location Flexibility:
Candidates must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, one of the following 17 states where Innovetive Petcare operates: AL, AR, CT, FL, GA, LA, MD, MA, MS, NY, NC, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA.
Extensive travel (up to 75%) is required - qualified candidate should have easy access to a major airport.
As a Regional Operations Manager, you will oversee the business and operational performance of 5-15 veterinary hospitals within Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina. You will serve as a strategic partner to hospital leadership, ensuring excellence in patient care, staff development, and financial outcomes.
You will be the primary liaison between our veterinary practices and the Innovetive Support Center, helping to drive operational improvements, implement corporate initiatives, and support sustainable growth across your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the daily operations of assigned veterinary hospitals with full P&L ownership
  • Partner with hospital leaders to develop and implement business strategies that drive growth and operational efficiency
  • Coach hospital teams, set performance goals, and track KPIs
  • Mentor Hospital Managers and Managing DVMs; conduct annual performance reviews
  • Identify and support staffing, scheduling, and labor optimization opportunities
  • Analyze operational and financial reports; recommend actionable improvements
  • Support new client acquisition, client retention, and service line expansion
  • Manage regional recruiting efforts in collaboration with our recruiting team
  • Champion Innovetive-wide initiatives and standard operating procedures
  • Facilitate onboarding and training for new hospital leaders
  • Build a positive, collaborative culture focused on exceptional veterinary care

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of multi-site, multi-state veterinary practice management experience, with experience in specialty and emergency medicine preferred.
  • Proven track record of P&L management, business strategy, and leadership coaching
  • Strong communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills
  • High emotional intelligence and a servant leadership mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, decentralized environment
  • Proficient in veterinary practice management software and operational metrics
  • Willing and able to travel up to 75% regionally
