Summary
Responsible for infield technical support and training for Lancer's full line of beverage and ice equipment as requested or required by Management, Sales, Engineering, and or customers.
Essential Functions
• Identify, establish, and manage a network of service companies in support of Lancer's full line of equipment
• Train and certify service company technicians
• Provide technical support and guidance to Area Sales Manager, National Accounts, Technical staff, and customers' request
• Provide sales support to Area Sales Manager
• Manage and assist with field test and evaluation of new and innovative products
• Manage and assist with major equipment installations
• Provide engineering with details and evaluation of equipment failures
• Assist with determination of warranty claims
• Knowledge of Lancer Quality Systems
• Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• High mechanical aptitude and technical ability.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of beverage systems and components.
• Proficient in electrical and refrigeration operation and concepts to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to identify causes and solutions to equipment failures and or service issues
• Excellent communication skills for effectively communicating technical and functional matters for the purpose of providing instruction in a classroom environment, as well as solving equipment operational and performance issues.
• Ability to work under pressure and effectively handle irate customers.
• Ability to travel and work in the field for extended periods of time.
• Good communication, verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Effective problem solving skills
• Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines

Education and Experience
• High School diploma required; 2 years of technical school preferred
• 2 years of field technical support experience preferred
