Description:

As a team member of the Fresno Mission Thrift Store and Cars, you will be responsible for various duties. Including, Pricing, Hanger/Tagger, Cashier, Sorter, Recovery Shift, Donation Attendant, and other duties as assigned.


Who you are:

What you’ll do (just the basics):

  • Pricer determines the selling price of items based on style, quality, and condition of item. Ensuring proper cleaning, packaging, and tagging procedures are followed.
  • Hanger/Tagger, hangs clothing and linens for sale at the thrift store, grouping together on the rolling rack in like categories. Also, required to affix price tags to the items. The hanger could also be responsible for pricing. All items are to be processed in an efficient, effective, and timely manner.
  • Cashier/Sales Associate is responsible for maintaining great customer service, accurate cash register operations (POS), generating sales.
  • Sorter receives, sorts, and distributes clothing merchandise ensuring all items are processed in an efficient, effective, and timely manner.
  • Recovery Shift is responsible for cleaning, organizing the entire store at the end of each night. They are responsible for returning all unpaid merchandise back to the sales floor. Picking up all merchandise off the floor and returning it to its proper location.
  • Donation Attendant is responsible for receiving all donations as they are dropped off. They separate them into categories to prepare for the warehouse to sort and price. They are responsible for making sure the donations receipts are filled out properly.

Requirements:

A mature walk with Jesus Christ and able to articulate Biblical beliefs and their application within the context of the Fresno Mission. All employees of Fresno Mission are an integral part of the outreach ministry of a non-denominational, evangelical ministry sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through transformational programs that provide food, shelter, clothing, education, job training and renewal of families to the poor and addicted. All employees are Christian missionaries and are required from time to time to participate in chapel services, outreach ministries, Bible Studies and prayer times. Due to the nature of these types of ministries, it is an absolute necessity that each employee possesses and maintain a Christian testimony of their faith and experience in Jesus. Must be in agreement with the Statement of Faith of the Fresno Mission.
