Job description

We are looking for a professional, experienced Program Manager to join the 6K Team!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual will support the Air University Teaching and Learning Center (AUTLC) which provides developmental support to faculty and students across all of Air University. The AUTLC builds, delivers, and manages resources and programming to grow and enrich the professional knowledge and capabilities of AU faculty and students. The AUTLC conducts learning technology training and research, hosts developmental and collaborative events, and manages a number of learning technology assets, rooms, and facilities to support education at AU. The Program Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Provide overall program management support to ensure that the requirements of the contract are accomplished.
  • Meet with government personnel and review the requirements of the Performance Work Statement (PWS), ensuring a clear understanding of Government expectations; develop a work breakdown structure(s) as required based on requirements; identify applicable milestones and deliverables and provide recommendations and implementation on the viability of new technologies to improve process effectiveness and efficiency; and perform project management/process improvement activities.
  • Manage and adjust, the staffing and other applicable resources to ensure on-time and acceptable deliverables as specified in the PWS
  • Determine by working with government personnel the staffing requirements and recruit/staff accordingly; ensure all qualified candidates are properly vetted with the client before hiring actions are completed.
  • Maintain the Quality Control Plan (QCP) to ensure the requirements of the contract are provided as specified.
  • Assist with the establishment of the physical contractor's office/work space on Maxwell AFB as provided by the Government.
  • Maintain documentation for standard operating procedures (SOP) necessary to execute program support activities in accordance with a continuity of operations plan; provide a current version of this documentation that reflects current procedures to the Government in standard electronic format semi-annually, with the last provision occurring no later than one week prior to the end of the period of performance.
  • Meet regularly with the Government to provide a suspense and activity summary of the past period's contractor efforts, discuss and coordinate timelines for deliverables for existing and upcoming tasks, and address any other pertinent issues regarding contract support and execution. to the priorities, levels of effort, etc., within the scope of these requirements.
  • Assist employees in obtaining base access cards and common access cards (CAC), as required; ensure collection of base access cards/CACs from departing/terminated employees.
  • Adjust and/or re-prioritize contractor efforts per Government direction within the scope of these requirements; modify established format for the monthly report as required by the contracting officer.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have Project Management Professional Certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant program management activities, such as a project lead for large efforts.
  • Prior experience working in military learning environments is preferred.
