The City of Nashua is looking for a detail oriented individual to join our Police Department as a Part Time Recruiting Specialist.
JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for the recruiting of sworn and civilian employee candidates for the Nashua Police Department. This position will conduct advertising of open positions, participate in career fairs, travel to various educational institutions in the region to meet with potential candidates and promote careers with the Nashua Police Department. Development of ongoing relationships with the department heads in educational institutions and military agencies along with utilization of the Nashua Police Department's social media platforms to advertise employment and testing opportunities are essential to this position. The Recruiting Specialist will administer the testing procedures for sworn personnel and assist the Hiring Specialist with other duties. The Recruiting Specialist will also assist with background investigations for sworn and civilian employees for the Nashua Police Department. This is a part-time position, Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 4 pm (hours will depend on department needs). This is an Unaffiliated position with an hourly rate not to exceed $47.9349
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Professional experience in law enforcement or related field is required
• Must possess and maintain a background in recruiting techniques, and the ability to develop a working knowledge of the department's computer system
• Must be able to develop a thorough knowledge of interviewing techniques and personnel matters
• Must possess a valid driver's license
