The Opportunity
As a Recruiting Assistant, you will be responsible for comprehensive administrative support within the recruitment department. You will interact with internal and external applicants in order to support the department goal of recruiting and onboarding new hires. This position actively supports candidate sourcing and screening, background screening and onboarding activities providing a customer focused and effective human resources support service to the firm to achieve the firm goals and objectives.
The Day-To-Day
On any given day, you will:
  • Maintain the applicant tracking system, including opening and closing positions, scheduling interviews, updating candidate records, etc.
  • Post positions on a variety of sites such as social media, associations, universities, veteran and disability organizations, etc.
  • Generate fee agreements and maintain relationships with search firms/external vendors
  • Generate offer letters and associated documents
  • Support onboarding activities for new hires, including creating offer letters, background screenings, verification of new hire documents while ensuring a positive onboarding experience
  • Update and maintains the Firm's internal staff recruiting site
  • Prepare and update job postings
  • Assess and conduct candidate outreach and recruitment efforts. Assist with candidate sourcing and screening
  • Ensures positive candidate experience by welcoming candidates, overseeing interviews, and providing prompt feedback to stakeholders
  • Facilitates the offer process by conducting reference checks
  • Facilitates candidate paperwork and due diligence, including, resume, conflicts, background check, and other appropriate documentation
  • Process invoices and expense reports
  • Perform other tasks and projects as needed

You Have
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in recruiting, preferably in a law firm or related service industry
  • Knowledge of Workday, iCIMS or a similar applicant tracking system
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and business acumen skill; ability to multi-task, prioritize and maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and shifting priorities
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
