Job description

$25.00 per Hour | Full-Time | Join a Growing Team

Earn $25.00 per hour while helping build a team that safely transports students throughout the Chicagoland area. If you're an experienced recruiter who enjoys finding great talent, building relationships, and making a difference in your community, we'd love to hear from you!

Company Overview

Aurora Naper Transportation Inc. is a trusted student transportation provider committed to ensuring the safe, timely, and compassionate transportation of students across schools and educational institutions. With a strong foundation in safety, reliability, and community engagement, we prioritize both the well-being of the students we serve and the development of our dedicated team members. As our operations continue to grow, we are seeking a driven and people-oriented Recruiter to lead our efforts in hiring qualified drivers, aides and other roles.

Position Overview

We are hiring a Recruiter with a specialization in various job roles to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end recruitment processes — sourcing, screening, and onboarding talent — with a strong focus on CDL and non-CDL drivers, monitors, aides, etc. Your contributions will directly support our mission to safely transport students and foster a culture of care and professionalism.

This position requires a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships for transportation staff. You’ll collaborate with HR leadership and hiring managers to fill roles, participate in community-based recruitment events, and implement strategic sourcing initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full-cycle recruitment process for drivers, aides, and office related positions.
  • Screen applicants by phone and in-person to assess qualifications, regulatory compliance, and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate licensing processes for drivers, including scheduling training, physicals, and renewals.
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure compliance with company and regulatory hiring standards.
  • Organize and attend job fairs, open houses, and local recruiting events in the Chicagoland area.
  • Build relationships with workforce centers and community organizations to strengthen hiring pipelines.
  • Continuously assess and refine sourcing methods through market research and recruitment analytics.
  • Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned by HR leadership and management to support business operations and organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment, preferably in transportation, logistics, or staffing.
  • Strong familiarity with transportation hiring practices, including background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and license verification. Experience with school transportation requirements is a plus.
  • Proficient with applicant tracking systems (ATS), Google Workspace, and platforms such as Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and Facebook Jobs.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail in evaluating certifications, licensure, and other compliance-related credentials.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced work setting.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and legal compliance in all recruitment activities.

Ready to Apply?
If you're passionate about connecting people to meaningful work and thrive in a mission-driven, community-focused environment, we invite you to apply. Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and your interest in this role.

Aurora Naper Transportation Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.

Company Description

Our student transportation company provides safe and reliable transportation services for students of all ages. We pride ourselves on our highly trained drivers and our well-maintained fleet of vehicles, which are equipped with the latest safety features. Our main goal is to make sure that students arrive at their destinations on time each day.

We are currently looking for dedicated and responsible individuals to join our team. As a driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students. We offer competitive pay and benefits, as well as opportunities for professional growth and advancement. If you are passionate about working with children and have a clean driving record, we encourage you to apply.
