Recreation Aide

Our community, Lansdowne Heights Memory Care, is hiring a passionate Recreation Aide to fill part-time shifts 15-20 hours weekly. Weekend availability is required. Responsibilities include leading daily programing and providing compassionate support. The ideal candidate will be patient, friendly and possess excellent communication skills. Compassion and a service-oriented mind are a must!

  • Daily Duties include
    • Preparing the recreation area for the day
    • Leading group activities such as exercise, news, and games.
    • Providing one on one engagement at different times during the day
    • Providing nutrition at snack time
    • Reminiscing and leading sensory activities.
    • Leading purposeful activities such as cooking, cleaning, gardening, and other chores.
    • Guiding volunteers
    • Decorating and events
    • Working as a team with other departments
    • Be able to work with integrity and independently with small groups
