) Serenity Spring Senior Living at Arlington is seeking a dynamic and caring individual for a Part Time weekend position within the Activities Department. Experience is a plus. Individual must be willing to work every other weekend / holiday.
This position requires tact, sensitivity and professionalism due to constant interaction with residents and families.
Position duties include:
  • Establish rapport with Alzheimer's/Dementia care residents and their families
  • Develop approaches/interventions to meet the psychosocial needs of residents
  • Collaborate with Activity Director to develop and run programming ideas for residents
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with residents having dementia and appropriate therapeutic/behavioral interventions
  • Must be able to work with a team
  • Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect
  • Must have a positive attitude, enthusiasm, creativity, patience and energy

Job Type: Full Time
Required experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year experience in pediatrics and/or geriatrics recreation
  • Be able to facilitate group programs independently
  • Positive attitude and energy
