Front Desk Receptionist

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our physical therapy clinic. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment while supporting daily administrative operations. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a genuine interest in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments
  • Answer incoming calls, schedule/reschedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar
  • Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or payments at time of service
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update contact or insurance details as needed
  • Handle patient intake paperwork and ensure all forms are completed correctly
  • Communicate professionally with physical therapists and other staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and faxes
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience as a receptionist, front desk associate, or administrative assistant (preferably in a healthcare or therapy setting)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and patient scheduling is a plus
