Receptionist Manager information

What is a receptionist manager?

Receptionist Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing a team of receptionists and ensuring the smooth operation of a company's front desk or reception area. They handle administrative tasks, manage schedules, train staff, and serve as the first point of contact for visitors and clients. Additionally, Receptionist Managers address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain a welcoming environment. Their role is crucial for creating a positive first impression of the organization and supporting daily office functions.

How does a receptionist manager balance overseeing front desk operations with leading and developing a team?

A Receptionist Manager is responsible for both the smooth functioning of daily front desk activities and the ongoing mentoring and supervision of reception staff. This often involves scheduling shifts, handling escalated guest concerns, training new hires, and implementing service standards. Balancing these duties requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to delegate tasks effectively. By fostering a supportive team environment and regularly checking in with staff, Receptionist Managers help ensure high-quality service and professional growth within their teams.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a receptionist manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Receptionist Manager, you need strong organizational skills, experience in office administration, and often a background in business or hospitality management. Familiarity with scheduling software, phone systems, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools is typically required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, leadership, and the ability to remain calm under pressure help set top candidates apart. These skills are crucial for efficiently managing front-desk operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and leading a reception team effectively.

Team Ford

Team Ford is looking for a Receptionist to be the face of one of the most impressive automotive facilities in Canada.

This is not just a front desk role. This is the front door to a career.

Our dealership is a state-of-the-art, three-level facility designed to deliver a premium experience to every guest who walks through our doors. From the moment clients arrive, you set the tone. You are the first impression, the central hub of communication, and a critical part of the team.

Many of our strongest careers in administration, accounting, sales, and finance began right here at the front desk. We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job. We are looking for someone who wants to build a future in the automotive industry.

What You'll Do

  • Greet and welcome clients in a professional, warm, and confident manner

  • Answer and direct incoming calls efficiently and accurately

  • Support the sales, service, and leadership teams with administrative tasks

  • Manage client flow and ensure every guest is assisted quickly

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area

  • Assist with basic clerical and data entry tasks as needed

  • Act as the central communication point for the dealership

What We're Looking For

  • Professional appearance and strong communication skills

  • A positive, reliable, and career-oriented mindset

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment

  • A genuine interest in building a long-term career in the automotive industry

  • Previous reception, customer service, or administrative experience is an asset, but not required

What's In It for You

  • Career Growth - This role is a proven entry point into administration, accounting, sales, finance, and leadership roles within our organization. We promote from within.
  • Industry-Leading Facility - Work in a modern, premium dealership environment designed for both clients and employees.
  • Training and Development - Access ongoing training and development opportunities through Go Auto University and hands-on mentorship.
  • Employee Investment Program - Opportunity to earn additional income through our Employee Investment Program.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package - Health, dental, and vision coverage to support you and your family.
  • Paid Vacation - Start earning vacation time immediately so you can recharge and reset.
  • Stability and Opportunity - Join one of Canada's fastest-growing automotive groups with real, long-term career potential.

If you are professional, driven, and ready to start building a career instead of just working a job, we want to meet you.

Apply today and take the first step with Team Ford.
