Senior Construction Manager- Data Center

Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D), now part of Project Management Advisors (PMA), is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to support our Data Center projects in West Texas.

This is an on-site role in West Texas.

The Opportunity

An opportunity for an experienced construction management professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments, enjoys leading multidisciplinary teams, and is motivated to deliver mission-critical facilities that support the future of technology and digital infrastructure.

At Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D), we lead the planning, development, and management of the places that shape and strengthen communities—where people live, learn, work, and innovate. B&D partners with institutions, municipalities, and organizations to deliver complex real estate and capital projects through strategic advisory and program management services across the full project lifecycle.

B&D recently joined forces with Project Management Advisors (PMA), bringing together two nationally recognized leaders in program management and real estate advisory services. Together, the combined firm offers expanded capabilities across industries and end-to-end project delivery—from early-stage strategy through design, construction, and occupancy.

Our Technology team supports clients through complex real estate initiatives, including mission-critical facilities, data centers, infrastructure projects, and large-scale developments. We partner with clients to deliver highly technical environments that support operational continuity, scalability, and future growth.

As a Senior Construction Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and lead project teams through planning, design, construction, and project activation activities. You will collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and vendors to successfully deliver complex data center projects.

How You’ll Contribute
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between clients and project teams throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Lead construction management activities for large-scale data center and mission-critical projects
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams, including contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Support strategic planning, preconstruction, design coordination, construction execution, and project transition activities
  • Review project requirements and ensure alignment with client goals, operational needs, and project objectives
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, milestones, and project controls
  • Analyze project performance and identify risks impacting cost, schedule, quality, or delivery
  • Coordinate construction documentation, sequencing, logistics planning, and project execution strategies
  • Review design documents, specifications, and construction plans to support successful delivery
  • Facilitate project meetings, document decisions, and track action items to maintain accountability
  • Partner with clients, contractors, engineers, and consultants to proactively identify challenges and develop solutions
  • Support procurement activities for construction, design, and specialty consultant services
  • Review and administer contracts, change orders, and project documentation
  • Evaluate value engineering opportunities and provide recommendations to optimize project outcomes
  • Monitor construction progress and verify compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, schedules, and design intent
  • Support site activities, inspections, reporting, and resolution of construction-related issues
  • Manage project closeout activities, turnover processes, and successful project completion
  • Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development opportunities, proposals, and client presentations
What We’re Looking For
  • 8+ years of experience in construction management, development, or real estate project delivery
  • 5+ years of direct experience supporting data center, mission-critical, technology, or highly technical infrastructure projects
  • Experience serving as an Owner’s Representative, Construction Manager, or Project Manager representing the interests of owners, developers, or investors
  • Demonstrated success managing complex projects through planning, preconstruction, design, construction, and activation phases
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project controls, documentation, sequencing, and delivery strategies
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and change management processes
  • Knowledge of construction costs, alternative delivery methods, value engineering, building codes, and occupancy requirements
  • Strong organizational, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or a related field preferred
What Sets You Apart
  • You are a proactive leader who takes ownership of project outcomes
  • You excel at managing complex construction environments with multiple stakeholders
  • You bring strong communication skills and emotional intelligence to client and team interactions
  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented when managing schedules, budgets, and project documentation
  • You approach challenges with curiosity and a solutions-oriented mindset
  • You are comfortable operating in technical, fast-moving project environments
  • You demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment in all interactions
  • You are passionate about delivering mission-critical facilities that support innovation and technology
  • You enjoy mentoring others and contributing to a collaborative team culture
