Job Title: Receiving Clerk
Reports To: Purchasing Coordinator / Operations Manager
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Position Overview
The Receiving Clerk ensures that all incoming materials are accurately documented and processed to support FABco's procurement and operations. This role is responsible for verifying receiving documents, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records to keep fabrication and field operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, process, and file incoming Receiving documents (packing slips, delivery tickets, invoices).
  • Verify that materials received match purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Inventory Control to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all receiving transactions in company systems.
  • Assist with preparing daily/weekly reports for Procurement and Operations.
  • Communicate with vendors, drivers, and internal staff regarding documentation issues.
  • Perform administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and scanning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and confidentiality standards in all documentation handling.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in receiving, procurement, or administrative support preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts (5:00 AM start).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with ERP or inventory systems a plus.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
