In most states in the U.S., you must complete required education, pass a licensing exam, and meet specific state requirements to obtain a real estate license. The term 'Realtor' specifically refers to a real estate professional who is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and adheres to its strict code of ethics. Newly licensed Realtors often face challenges such as building a client base, learning local market trends, and managing the complexities of real estate transactions. Many struggle with time management and the need to balance prospecting, networking, and ongoing education. To overcome these challenges, it's helpful to seek mentorship from experienced agents, join a supportive brokerage, and invest time in local community involvement. Continuous learning and leveraging available training resources can also accelerate your growth in the industry.
