Real Estate Paralegal
We are a major full service law firm with more than 115 attorneys seeking to expand our talented staff by adding a Real Estate Paralegal with 2-5 years of experience to support our Real Estate practice in a regional branch office (Belfast, New York).


This position offers the opportunity to work directly with attorneys and clients on a broad range of commercial and residential real estate matters in a collaborative environment.


The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail oriented self starter with strong organizational skills and a solid foundation in real estate transactions. The candidate must be a team player who thrives in a professional and supportive law firm environment and is comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously.


Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in all aspects of real estate transactions, including preparation of contracts of sale, closing documents, and related transaction materials
Review and analyze title reports and surveys and assist with title clearance issues
Prepare closing checklists and coordinate the collection, execution, and delivery of documents
Obtain payoff letters and assist with lien resolutions and post closing matters
Prepare and file ACRIS transfer tax documents and related closing filings
Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel to ensure timely and accurate closings
Maintain and organize transaction files and track critical deadlines


Qualifications
2-5 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal in a law firm or similar setting
Experience supporting commercial and/or residential real estate transactions
Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple transactions in a deadline driven environment
Professional communication skills and a collaborative, can do attitude
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

$55k-$65k
