Real Estate Paralegal
We are a major full service law firm with more than 115 attorneys seeking to expand our talented staff by adding a Real Estate Paralegal with 2-5 years of experience to support our Real Estate practice in a regional branch office (Belfast, New York).
This position offers the opportunity to work directly with attorneys and clients on a broad range of commercial and residential real estate matters in a collaborative environment.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail oriented self starter with strong organizational skills and a solid foundation in real estate transactions. The candidate must be a team player who thrives in a professional and supportive law firm environment and is comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously.
Responsibilities
• Assist attorneys in all aspects of real estate transactions, including preparation of contracts of sale, closing documents, and related transaction materials
• Review and analyze title reports and surveys and assist with title clearance issues
• Prepare closing checklists and coordinate the collection, execution, and delivery of documents
• Obtain payoff letters and assist with lien resolutions and post closing matters
• Prepare and file ACRIS transfer tax documents and related closing filings
• Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel to ensure timely and accurate closings
• Maintain and organize transaction files and track critical deadlines
Qualifications
• 2-5 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal in a law firm or similar setting
• Experience supporting commercial and/or residential real estate transactions
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple transactions in a deadline driven environment
• Professional communication skills and a collaborative, can do attitude
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
