Job description

Not a desk job person? You'll probably love this role :)

We're looking for a friendly, dependable, and coachable team member to join our growing real estate media company serving the Salt Lake City area.

This is a field-based role where you'll travel to homes throughout the Salt Lake City area, work directly with real estate agents and homeowners, and learn how to capture professional listing media.

Photography experience is not required. We care much more about reliability, professionalism, customer service, and a willingness to learn.

Every day looks a little different, and that's one of the best parts of the job.

About the Role

We're looking for a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented team member to help create an outstanding experience for our real estate clients.

You'll travel throughout the Salt Lake City area photographing homes while representing our company with professionalism and excellent customer service. We provide all of the equipment, paid training, and proven systems needed to succeed.

While the title is Real Estate Photographer, this role is really about being dependable, organized, and creating a great experience for every homeowner and real estate agent you work with.

What You'll Do

  • Travel locally to residential properties for scheduled appointments
  • Capture interior and exterior listing photos using our structured process
  • Learn photography, drone, video, and other real estate media services
  • Work directly with real estate agents and homeowners
  • Follow detailed shot lists and company standards
  • Upload media after appointments using your personal computer and internet connection (no editing required)
  • Stay organized and on schedule throughout the day
  • Represent the company with a friendly, professional, service-first attitude
  • Help create an exceptional client experience at every appointment

This is an active, people-focused role where every day is different.

Schedule & Availability

  • Monday-Friday daytime availability is required
  • Typical appointment window is 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
  • Occasional evening twilight appointments
  • Approximately 30 hours per week
  • Hours are not guaranteed every week, as appointment volume varies with the real estate market
  • Your schedule is typically provided by 7:00 PM the evening before
  • Some days may have several appointments, while other days may have fewer depending on booking volume
  • A significant amount of driving is required between appointments throughout the Salt Lake City area
  • Candidates must live within approximately 20 miles of Salt Lake City

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys flexibility and understands that real estate is a schedule-driven business rather than a traditional fixed-hour position.

Compensation & Training

  • Paid training at $15/hour
  • $25/hour after completing initial certification
  • $30/hour after drone certification
  • $35/hour after video certification
  • $0.45/mile mileage reimbursement
  • Paid drive time between appointments
  • Company equipment provided
  • Paid photography, drone, video, and customer service training
  • Ongoing coaching and mentorship
  • Drone certification is required within your first 30 days of employment. The company will reimburse the cost of your FAA Part 107 exam after you successfully pass the test.

What We're Looking For

  • Friendly, outgoing, and professional
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Reliable, dependable, and accountable
  • Coachable and open to feedback
  • Detail-oriented and able to follow checklists
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Comfortable driving between appointments throughout the day
  • Basic technology skills
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Home computer with reliable high-speed internet

Many of our best team members come from hospitality, retail, restaurants, customer service, sales, events, and other client-facing industries.

Why People Enjoy Working With Us

  • Paid, hands-on training
  • Company-provided equipment
  • Mileage reimbursement and paid drive time
  • Learn photography, drone, video, and real estate media skills
  • Every day is different
  • Supportive, team-focused environment
  • Opportunities for advancement and increased pay through certifications
  • Build valuable technical and professional skills while working independently

This Role May NOT Be a Fit If You...

  • Need guaranteed hours every week
  • Prefer the exact same schedule every day
  • Dislike driving between appointments
  • Prefer minimal customer interaction
  • Struggle with detailed systems, checklists, or following established processes
  • Are actively building your own photography or real estate media business
  • Are uncomfortable working inside occupied homes with pets

At the end of the day, we're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in doing quality work, and wants to build valuable long-term skills while growing with a supportive team.

If you're dependable, professional, coachable, and excited about a role where every day is different, we'd love to hear from you.
