Job description

Position: Accounting Manager – Real Estate Development

Location: Sarasota, FL

Compensation: $120K-$125K + 10% bonus

Hybrid Schedule: 1 day work from home

Benefit Package: 95% company paid & 401K 3% match; Generous PTO and Holidays

RemX is proud to represent our prestigious client in the heart of South Florida who is seeking a qualified Accounting Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with real estate or land development experience who enjoys owning the accounting process while providing financial insight to the business

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage team and accounting operations including month-end close, bank and balance reconciliations
  • Prepare, analyze and submit financial statements and reports to Corporate Execs
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
  • Perform cost analysis and monitor project/development costs
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Partner with leadership to research and support business decisions
  • Perform cash flow management leading forecast and planning
  • Work with Project Managers to ensure budget and timeline

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Gen/Cost Accounting with REIT, land acquisition/developand/or industrial construction (or combo) exp Required
  • Strong leadership, problem solving and multi priority management skills
  • Strong financial reporting, forecasting, and cost accounting skills to include month/quarter/year end close and reconciliations
  • Outstanding organizational, communication and reasoning skills
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; Proficiency in ERP Accounting Software, Yardi is a plus, but not required
