Job description

Transform the Future of Construction as an AI-Native Full Stack Software Engineer

Are you ready to redefine the software development life cycle by moving away from manual execution toward an AI-native, agentic future? Trimble is looking for an entrepreneurial technical founder to lead high-velocity product pods, using AI as a force multiplier to turn complex problem statements into production-ready solutions at the speed of thought.

What Makes This Role Great:

This isn't just a coding job; it is an opportunity to act as a Technical Founder within a specialized Product Pod. You will have the unique autonomy to lead a technical vision, shifting the focus from manual lines of code to high-level business value by orchestrating AI agents and building modular, scalable systems that serve as the operating system for the physical world.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end feature development by designing responsive frontend components and robust backend logic that meet high performance and accessibility standards.

  • Drive agentic orchestration by utilizing AI coding agents to accelerate delivery by 30-40%, focusing your expertise on defining intent and validating outputs.

  • Own the testing lifecycle through AI-assisted frameworks, writing automated unit, integration, and E2E tests to ensure complete system quality and security.

  • Partner with Product Definers to rapidly build and iterate on MVPs, using data-driven insights to refine solutions for real-world customer impact.

  • Collaborate on architectural system designs to ensure all prototypes are modular, scalable, cost-aware, and ready for global implementation.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of owning complex production systems end-to-end.

  • Full-stack proficiency across modern languages and frameworks such as Python, React, and cloud environments like AWS or Azure.

  • AI-Native mastery with professional experience using programming tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Gemini CLI.

  • Strong systems thinking skills with the ability to design modular architectures and understand complex software interdependencies.

  • Deep understanding of operational rigor, including automated testing, continuous delivery, and responsible AI practices regarding privacy and security.

Bonus Points For

  • Previous experience in an entrepreneurial or "founder" capacity within a technical environment.

  • Active contribution to personal side projects or open-source communities involving emerging AI technologies.

  • Advanced knowledge of asynchronous-first collaborative environments and high-velocity development cycles.
