Rate- $70/hr.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Front-End Engineer is primarily responsible for building and maintaining all of the user-facing applications in the ModivCare portfolio.
The engineer chosen for this role will be contributing to existing and new React Native code bases using industry level best practices, collaborating with product, designers, and our backend engineers to create responsive and user friendly mobile applications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• You will be building out new features for our existing member servicing app dealing with transportation and also help develop a new process for servicing underserviced communities via food delivery.
• As a senior member of the team, you will perform code reviews, participate in peer programming, mentor junior team members, help establish strong coding standards, work on enhancements and optimizations, and contribute your ideas in team meetings.
• You will collaborate closely with counterparts on the backend side and other front-end engineers to ensure specifications across the teams are well defined and synchronized.
• You will support and build out new features for our existing web platform, which allows transportation providers to service rides to customers in need of non-emergency medical transportation.

• JavaScript, HTML, CSS (preferably SASS)
• Redux
• Interacting with RESTful APIs
• Unit Testing experience with jest, react-testing-library
• Strong understanding of industry level best practices for UI/UX development.
• Passion for code reusability, consistency, and functional programming.
