Summary:
Assists the Cardiologist in the performance of diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab such as angioplasty with stenting and related procedures. Monitors radiation safety for physicians patients and staff. Assists Electrophysiologist with related procedures. Interprets hemodynamic data patient lab data cardiac arrhythmias and ECG interpretation while recording a procedure to assure quality patient care.
Education:
* Graduate of approved school of Cardiovascular Program or Health Science ( or a graduate from Radiologic Paramedic Surgical Technology)
Education specialization:
* Cardiovascular Technology
Experience:
* One Year
Credentials:
* ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ( ARRT are exempt from RCIS or RCES Certification requrements) Or
* CVT CCT - Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Must obtain RCIS or RCES Certification within two (2) years of entry into Cardiac Vascular Service Department) Or
* Licensed Paramedic or CST - Surgical Technologist (Will have an additional year to obtain RCIS or RCES from the time they enter the Cardiac Vascular Service line)
* Basic Life Support (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
