Solutions Architect, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, Minneapolis, MN:
Responsible for assessing and analyzing business strategy, business requirements, current state environment and technology choices to evaluate solution alternatives that meet business sponsor needs. Defining end to end technical solutions that take into account the enterprise architecture strategies, current state environment and constraints. Analyzing the viability of the solution to meet program timeline, budget and quality. Lead technical authority on the program and is responsible for planning all activities leading to the development of the overall solution architecture. Identifying technical issues and risks and defines mitigation approach. Providing critical thinking, technical leadership to the program right from the idea creation stage. Working with Program Managers, Group Managers and assisting in the development of the program roadmap. Developing and presenting solution alternatives along with recommendations to executives and senior management. Identifying possible 3rd party vendor solution and leading the technical evaluation of the identified vendor solution. Working with technical systems specialist, business systems specialists from the impacted application groups/3rd parties to understand the current state and constraints for defining the future state architecture and the interfaces. Working with Data Architecture, Security Architecture and Infrastructure SME's to ensure that all aspects of the solution architecture are defined and elaborated. Presenting program solution architecture at the Architecture review board. Providing input, guidance and direction for the development of project level solution architecture.
Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $145,018.00 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, IT or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.
Must have 5 years of experience in technologies/approaches including J2EE, Node.js, Vue, mainframe platform, packaged applications, multi-platforms applications, EAI and SOA.
Must have 4 years of experience in:
* Enterprise Architecture frameworks in TOGAF.
* Program/projects involving complex integration of disparate types of technologies/platforms.
* RUP, UML and UML for modeling and designing complex system communications and data movement/storage across IT sources.
Must have 2 years of experience in architecture/design techniques (OO, Top-down, structured analysis, or component-based design) and tools (RSM or RSA).
International travel required up to 10%. Domestic travel required up to 10%.
The base salary for this job is $145,018.00 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with
company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
