Raytheon is headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Job Description

This occupation requires the planning, layout, fabrication and assembly of developmental type parts and assemblies, test equipment, missile assemblies, tools, gauges, molds, dies, and fixtures. Sets up and operates a variety of manual machines, utilizing general machining practices and optimum utilization of the tooling/set-ups required with minimal direct supervision. Utilizes advanced mathematical and problem solving skills. Applies a comprehensive knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Uses a variety of Standard Inspection Equipment (SIE) to maintain integrity of conformance to part tolerances during fabrication. Performs off line programming using Master Cam/conversational software to setup and fabricate complex precision developmental parts and potential pre-production parts. Produce parts out of materials ranging from standard to exotic.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

6 years recent experience in Tool and Die or Journeyman Machinist occupation

Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Ability to work from blueprints

Ability to set up and operate conventional Toolroom machines, i.e., mills, lathes, grinders, etc.

Working knowledge and experience to set up and operate CNC lathes and mills

Working knowledge of CAD/CAM Programming systems

Desired Skills:

Graduate of approved Journeyman Machinist or Tool & Die apprenticeship

Required Education:

High School diploma

Starting Rate: $25.01
Relocation assistance of up to $5,000 is available
Must be able to pass a written evaluation and practical
Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance
