About the Role:

We have a current opening for an FSQ Raw Materials Manager and are actively reviewing applications.

The FSQ Raw Materials Manager is responsible for ensuring Ferrero North America suppliers are in compliance with Ferrero and US FDA / CFIA requirements. This role will audit supplier manufacturing sites, assess quality and food safety documentation in support of 8 Ferrero North America manufacturing plants. This role will also conduct raw material and supplier risk assessments in conjunction with the supplier approval activity. Additional activities include working cross-functionally with R&D/Procurement to support new Innovation and lead supplier de-risking projects. In addition, the role will serve as the North America area expert in specific raw material categories to support the Ferrero plants in dealing with supplier non-conformities, out of specification materials, support trouble shooting and oversee supplier CAPA.

Schedule:

Hybrid: 3 days in Office, 2 days Remote

This role requires 35% - 40% travel in North America (mostly USA)

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that supplier documentation is complete and current in our database
  • Assess the content and relevance of quality/food safety documentation from suppliers
  • Manage and organize audit schedule with suppliers
  • Audit raw material suppliers for Ferrero North America manufacturing plants following the Ferrero auditing standards
  • Conduct raw material / supplier risk assessment and verify compliance with Ferrero standard and local regulatory standards
  • Lead supplier de-risking projects together with Procurement
  • Support Ferrero plants in managing supplier non-conformities and CAPA
  • Work closely with and provide updates to Ferrero North America manufacturing plants, local R&D, Procurement, and central Quality team regarding raw material supplier activities
About You:

Business Experience:

  • Experience in Quality in the food industry mandatory, 8 - 10 years
  • Experience with raw material quality management and auditing suppliers
  • Knowledge of GFSI standards mandatory, ISO 9001 a plus
  • PCQI certification and lead auditor experience preferred
  • Knowledge of FSMA / FSVP and raw material supplier risk assessment
  • Experience in audit report writing
  • This role requires 35% - 40% travel in North America (mostly USA)
  • Experience with SAP, MS Office, Statistical Sampling

Education:

  • Bachelor of Food Science / Food Technology, Masters preferred

Competencies:

  • Able to interact professionally internally and externally in a multi-cultural environment

The base salary range for this position is $105,000-$168,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
