Job description

Job Title: Raw Material Control Specialist
Department: Corporate Management Team
Shift: Core business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Direct Report: General Affairs & Procurement Unit Manager
Type: Exempt; Full-time

About the position

We are looking for a competent Raw Material Control Specialist to supervise the raw material warehouse employees and processes, overseeing the delivery of orders to raw material and subsidiary material supplier and delivery schedules, manage the physical stocks of material properly, maintain all equipment to operate the warehouse, prepare and receive quality management system audit.

Responsibilities are:
  • Administer direct supervisory responsibility for raw material warehouse personnel to include training, performance evaluations, developing work schedules, and promotional recommendations
  • Comply with and support EHS programs, policies, and procedures
  • Develop and conduct training for warehouse operations
  • Manage the inventory of all materials in the raw material warehouse
  • Conduct monthly meetings with key persons for raw materials planning
  • Continually gain proficiency in operation and troubleshooting of ASR systems in RMW areas
  • Receive the delivered materials and stock them in the warehouse properly
  • Transfer materials as requested from manufacturing
  • Execute business activities interacting with vendors and plant purchasing functions. Ensure scheduled deliveries are completed successfully
  • Develop relationships with suppliers related to warehouse and receiving operations
  • Responsible for Warehouse 5S and orderliness
  • Prepare and receive quality management system audits
  • Intermittently cover duties of RM Planning Specialist
  • Ensure accurate data entry of Solzard inventory transactions and inventory records
  • Perform daily administrative tasks including maintaining files, reconciling delivery notes, and generating necessary internal and external communication
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements are:

    Education:

    • (Required) bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • (Preferred) supply chain or logistics major or advanced degree in a related field

    Experience:

    • (Required) 2+ years of related experience
    • (Preferred) previous experience in inventory management or manufacturing logistics

    Language:

    • (Required) Excellent command of written and spoken English

    Skills & Knowledge:

    • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
    • Management of Material Resources - Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work
    • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
    • Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
    • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
    • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
    • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
    • Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend stairs
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
    • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
    • Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom drawers of file cabinets
    • Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
