Responsibilities

Raw Material Handler

The primary function of the Raw Material Handler will work as part of the Production team to ensure that daily safety, quality and production goals are met. The Raw Material Handler will be responsible for unloading raw potatoes.

Production/Coordination:

  • Notifies the Supervisor of any problems with product or quality discrepancies.
  • Reconcile raw materials in a timely manner.
  • Investigate MUV variances.
  • Loads, unloads and transfers materials within or near the plant, yard or work site, performing any combination of responsible duties.
  • Coordinates daily with members of the quality team (hold). Make appropriate moves for QA and enter the information into the hold log as necessary.
  • Stage Raw materials for loading when needed.
  • Disposes of materials as deemed necessary.
  • Expected to arrive at work on time.
  • Willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work flexible hours with advance notice.
  • Ability to work overtime (including but not limited to Period End weekends).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality priorities.
  • Adhere to the Shearer’s break policy.
  • Adherence to all warehouse rules and expectations.

Qualifications

2-4 Years experience in Food Processing Manufacturing preferred

Quality Assurance Experience a plus
