Job description

Position Summary:ย  OCC- Raw Materials Handler is responsible unloading, handling raw materials delivered to the paper mill, testing moisture content and prepping materials for manufacturing process.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Unload bales of raw materials from trucks and rail cars

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Prep and feed raw material bales to conveyor

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Stacking raw materials not immediately needed for feeding conveyorย 

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Inspect OCC bales for contaminants and quality

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Do moisture probe on bales

SECONDARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (This list is not all inclusive and may not include all duties assigned):

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Keeping area clean

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor

ABILITIES & SKILLS:

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to operate a fork truck and various tools.ย 

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to work shifts and additional hours as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย ย  Highly concentrated hearing and visual alertness

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED Certificate or equivalent and a minimum of one (1) year manufacturing or warehouse
  • Fork Lift Experience
