Job description

About Ramp
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you've built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year - far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
The Ramp Revenue team is building an AI-native operating system for Go-to-Market teams. We turn fragmented customer context, communication history, and business signals into trusted agents that can identify opportunities, recommend actions, and execute real revenue work.
This is a frontend-focused role for an engineer who obsesses over interaction design and complex product workflows, but is just as comfortable shaping the APIs and data contracts behind them. You'll own the surfaces revenue teams actually use: agent-generated work, account and opportunity intelligence, approvals, workflow configuration, and execution experiences that bring together customer data, AI reasoning, and human judgment.
If you want your frontend work to sit at the center of production agent systems-rather than being added after the intelligence and workflow decisions have already been made-this is the role.
What You'll Do
  • Design and ship AI-native revenue products end to end, from React interfaces through the APIs and data contracts behind them.
  • Build fast, information-dense experiences for reviewing agent work, understanding customer context, making decisions, and taking action.
  • Design human-in-the-loop workflows that make agent reasoning, evidence, approvals, execution status, and outcomes understandable and trustworthy.
  • Own complex client-side architecture across real-time, asynchronous, and agent-driven product surfaces.
  • Build reusable frontend primitives and shape the APIs, workflows, and data contracts needed to support coherent product experiences.
  • Work directly with revenue teams and cross-functional partners to own products from early discovery through production adoption, measurement, and iteration.
What You Need
  • Deep frontend expertise in TypeScript, React, and sophisticated state management for complex, data-intensive applications.
  • A track record of shipping polished, production-grade product experiences and owning them through ambiguity.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to turn complicated operational workflows into simple, trustworthy software.
  • Experience designing interfaces for asynchronous systems, including partial results, background work, errors, retries, and user intervention.
  • Comfort working across API design, backend systems, and data models, even with frontend as your center of gravity.
  • Fluency with modern AI coding tools and an interest in designing production AI products around uncertainty, evidence, approvals, and recovery.
Nice to Haves
  • Experience building workflow, automation, agent, CRM, collaboration, or orchestration products.
  • Experience with information-dense enterprise applications, data visualization, or business intelligence tools.
  • Experience designing human-in-the-loop AI systems, including review, approvals, tool execution, evaluation, and recovery.
  • Experience with real-time systems, event-driven interfaces, or long-running asynchronous workflows.
  • Experience building reusable frontend systems or platform primitives used across multiple products.
  • An eye for excellent interaction design and a history of close partnership with product designers.
