Summary
The Manager, Strategy and Emerging Accounts is primarily responsible for owning the health, commercial performance, and contract governance of emerging accounts. This role emphasizes hands-on account management, contract oversight, and cross-functional execution, while supporting targeted strategic initiatives that enable account growth and operational delivery. The manager operates with ownership for assigned accounts and coordinates with senior leaders on high-impact decisions.
Compensation
$89,000 - $113,000 yearly salary range. (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
Responsibilities
Emerging Accounts Governance and Contract Oversight
• Own governance for assigned emerging and non captive OEM accounts, driving performance, profitability, and service delivery.
• Manage contract lifecycle for assigned accounts, including monitoring scope, rates, billing, KPIs, escalation clauses, renewals, and service commitments.
• Ensure contract compliance by coordinating with Legal, Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Corporate Planning to translate obligations into operational actions.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, leading corrective actions and negotiating amendments or clarifications as needed.
• Maintain and present contract dashboards, account health reports, and executive summaries to provide clear visibility and support renewal and upsell decisions.
Key Account Management and Customer Delivery
• Serve as the primary internal owner for assigned emerging accounts, ensuring consistent customer engagement and operational follow through.
• Coordinate onboarding, transitions, and handoffs between Business Development, Operations, and Customer Interface to ensure smooth service start ups.
• Monitor operational performance against contractual KPIs and lead remediation plans when service levels deviate.
• Build strong customer relationships to surface growth opportunities, resolve escalations, and protect service integrity.
Business Case Development, Performance Tracking, and Strategic Support
• Develop, validate and support business cases for account expansions, new services, and greater opportunities tied to assigned accounts.
• Support financial and operational modeling including cost structures, revenue projections, ROI scenarios, and margin assumptions.
• Establish and track account and project KPIs to measure performance against financial and operational targets.
• Lead post implementation reviews for account initiatives to capture lessons learned and improve future execution.
• Contribute to targeted strategic initiatives that directly support account growth and commercial outcomes.
• Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to inform account positioning and commercial offers.
• Translate strategic objectives into practical account plans and executable project milestones.
Executive Liaison & Communication
• Prepare concise, executive ready briefings, reports, and presentations focused on account health, contract status, and recommended actions.
• Drive stakeholder alignment through steering committee materials, status updates, and clear escalation paths.
• Respond to ad hoc executive requests with timely analysis and decision support materials.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution
• Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, Legal, Operations, IT, HR, Port Operations, Commercial, and Corporate Planning to support project execution.
• Lead interdepartmental working sessions to resolve barriers, address risks, and refine project scope.
• Consolidate project updates covering progress, open issues, milestones, dependencies, and key decisions.
• Track action items, manage project documentation, and ensure timely delivery of required inputs and approvals.
• Serve as the central point of contact for strategic initiatives, maintaining alignment across leadership, customers, and internal teams.
Ad-Hoc Analysis & Executive Reporting
• Respond to urgent requests and perform quick-view analyses to support executive decisions.
• Establish and produce real-time strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team, translating complex data into high-level guidance on emerging risks and opportunities.
• Consolidate the findings into clear, executive-ready presentations-highlighting financial impacts, risk mitigation strategies, and recommended next steps.

Education & Experience
