Shifts: Tuesday, Wednesday : 0700 - 1500 ; Thursday to Saturday : 1500 - 2300 - must have open Availibility

Job Overview

Allied Universal is currently seeking a Security Supervisor - Full Time in Edmonton, Alberta to support daily site operations through schedule management, front desk access control, and active patrol oversight. This role is responsible for ensuring the site is properly staffed, maintaining strong visibility throughout the property, and supporting a safe and professional environment for staff, visitors, and clients.
The Security Supervisor plays a critical role in the success of day-to-day operations by leading security personnel, monitoring site activity, addressing incidents in a timely manner, and ensuring all post duties are completed to standard. As a leader on site, the Security Supervisor must demonstrate professionalism, accountability, strong communication, and sound judgment at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support on-site security personnel to ensure high performance and compliance with AUS standards
  • Coordinate scheduling and shift coverage to ensure uninterrupted service
  • Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
  • Undertake site-specific training, follow direction and guidance from the Site Manager
  • Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
  • Conduct incident investigations and complete detailed reports using Device/System. 
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site required training
  • Ensure smooth, effective daily operations and address any staffing or performance issues promptly
Requirements
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, with strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills to produce clear and concise reports and understand rules, regulations, policies, and similar instructions.
  • Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Valid Alberta security guard license.
  • Supervisor experience leading teams of 15-20 employees.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada over 40 hours per week.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Must be at least 25 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Must be proficient using computer.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must have a Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Ability to clearly communicate using a radio
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors for long hours in all weather conditions
  • Strong computer proficiency and experience in monitoring CCTV cameras.
  • Ability to respond to incidents and emergencies
