Raytheon's Mission Capability Verification Center (MCVC) located on White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM is looking for a Radar Systems Engineer to support the AN/TPY-2 Radars. In this role, you will manage moderately scoped projects and processes, as well as conduct engineering tests to diagnose and resolve Radar system anomalies (such as REX, BSG, and Antenna/Sub‑Array/TRIMM issues).

You will deliver weekly updates on engineering activities and maintain a Radar performance notebook that captures data including El Ops runs, satellite tracks, IMU measurements, and radar calibration results. These notebook entries will be submitted to the Missile Defense Center (MDC) in Woburn, MA for performance monitoring, data analysis, and regression testing. Travel will be required up to 50%.

What You Will Do

  • Provide technical support for Radar system issues and lead troubleshooting activities in response to site leadership priorities.

  • Ensure compliance with QA and Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) reporting requirements by delivering accurate, complete, and timely documentation.

  • Define and execute data collection, reduction, and analysis requirements and procedures for Radar system performance.

  • Communicate system status to the end user and coordinate calibration and maintenance activities as required.

  • Adhere to and ensure alignment to RTX Values and Behaviors.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.

  • Experience leading field or range test activities.

  • Experience with test instrumentation, telemetry, radar systems, communications systems, or weapons systems integration

  • Comptia Security + certification or willingness to complete certification within 90 days of hire

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Prior military or defense industry test range experience.

  • Experience supporting DoD developmental test (DT) and operational test (OT) events.

  • Familiarity with missile systems, air defense systems, or command-and-control platforms.

  • strong understanding of systems engineering and test methodologies

  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.

  • Knowledge of range safety and environmental compliance requirements.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
