Job overview

The Outside Sales & Field Support Specialist serves as a direct extension of the Racing Radios brand in the field. Racing Radios is a division of Diversified Electronics. This role combines relationship management, technical support, product demonstration, and event presence to ensure customers experience consistent, high-quality communication solutions wherever they operate. Rather than functioning as a traditional sales role, this position bridges multiple areas of business sales, service, production, and customer success — helping customers move seamlessly from product selection to installation, use, and ongoing support. This individual represents Racing Radios at events, trade shows, and customer facilities while also contributing internally to product preparation, system configuration, and service operations.

Location Overview

This position is for our location in Forest Park, Georgia.

Pay Overview

Pay is based on experience and overall qualifications. Pay starts at $50,000 plus commission.

Essential Functions

Position is ACTIVE with lifting, pushing/pulling, or carrying 50 - 75% of the time of 50 – 75lbs. This position requires walking, traversing, and movement inside the facility or outside of the facility. The ability to crouch, crawl, stoop, or kneel during installing of equipment 50 – 75%. Employees are regularly required to use hands to manipulate/finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Ascending/descending stairs, ladders, or other height elevating equipment to performed 50 – 75% of the time. May be required to work within confined spaces 0 – 25% of the time. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees, customers, and other people. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The ability to observe, assess, recognize, and identify products, wires, reports, orders to perform the function of this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Position is primary preformed in NONCLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Relationship Development

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and teams
  • Identify opportunities with prospective customers at events and within industry networks
  • Provide product education, demonstrations, and recommendations based on operational needs

Field Support & Event Presence

  • Travel to racing venues, trade shows, and industry events
  • Support installation, setup, troubleshooting, and repairs in live environments
  • Represent Racing Radios professionally in high-visibility customer settings

Sales & Order Support

  • Assist customers with quoting, product selection, and order processing
  • Coordinate internally to ensure accurate fulfillment and delivery expectations
  • Provide post-sale follow-up and ongoing support

Technical & Operational Support

  • • Assemble, program, test, and quality-check communications equipment
  • • Support service department diagnostics and repairs
  • • Contribute to readiness of systems prior to field deployment
