We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Global Director of Talent Management & Learning to lead the design, implementation, and execution of our global talent, learning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness strategies.

Position Summary

This is a unique opportunity to build a best-in‑class Talent Management and Learning function within a newly formed organization following a major acquisition. The successful candidate will play a critical role in bringing together businesses with different histories, cultures, systems, and ways of working while establishing scalable talent and learning programs that support organizational growth and performance.

Reporting directly to the CHRO, this individual will operate as both a strategic advisor and a hands‑on practitioner, building processes, frameworks, and programs from the ground up while partnering closely with senior leaders across the business.

A key requirement for this role is significant Workday Talent and Learning experience, including experience implementing and optimizing talent management and learning processes within Workday.

  • Develop and execute a global talent management strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Design and implement enterprise‑wide talent review, succession planning, workforce planning, and talent assessment processes.
  • Establish frameworks to identify, assess, develop, and retain high‑potential and critical talent.
  • Build career development, internal mobility, and leadership pipeline programs for key business and operational roles.
  • Partner with leaders to address talent gaps, future capability needs, and retention strategies.
Learning & Development
  • Develop and implement a global learning strategy supporting technical, professional, leadership, compliance, and operational development.
  • Design leadership development programs for frontline leaders, managers, and executives.
  • Establish learning pathways, career development frameworks, onboarding, and assimilation programs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and evaluate effectiveness through metrics, analytics, and business outcomes.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify future skills and capability requirements.
  • Lead the design, implementation, adoption, and optimization of Workday Talent and Learning modules.
  • Partner with vendors and stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and ongoing governance.
  • Develop and manage Workday-enabled processes including Performance Management, Goal Management, Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, Career Development, Skills Management, Learning Management, and Leadership Development.
  • Ensure data integrity and governance, and develop reporting, analytics, and dashboards to support talent decisions.
Culture Integration & Organizational Effectiveness
  • Lead talent initiatives supporting acquisitions, culture integration, and organizational transformation.
  • Partner with leaders to define and embed organizational values, behaviors, and a unified employee experience.
  • Conduct organizational assessments and implement programs that enhance effectiveness, engagement, and culture.
  • Support change management initiatives across the enterprise.
Leadership Development
  • Design and deliver leadership and executive development frameworks and programs.
  • Coach and advise leaders on talent management, succession planning, and organizational development.
  • Develop manager capability programs that strengthen leadership effectiveness, accountability, and a high‑performance culture.
  • Partner with executives to build leadership capability and organizational success.
Talent Analytics & Governance
  • Develop talent and learning metrics, reporting, and dashboards that measure business impact and support executive decision‑making.
  • Establish governance models for talent and learning processes.
  • Leverage workforce and talent analytics to drive strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Benchmark talent practices against industry best practices.
Qualifications & Experience

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Psychology, or related field.

10+ years of progressive experience in Talent Management, Leadership Development, Learning & Development, and Organizational Effectiveness.

Proven experience building talent and learning functions, processes, and programs.

Demonstrated experience supporting organizational transformation, mergers, acquisitions, or large‑scale integration initiatives.

Significant hands‑on experience with Workday Talent and Workday Learning.

Experience participating in or leading Workday Talent and Learning implementations.

Experience working directly with executive leadership teams and senior stakeholders.

Strong understanding of succession planning, leadership development, performance management, and career development practices.

Experience managing global talent and learning initiatives.

Preferred

Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.

Workday Talent and Learning certifications.

Experience in manufacturing, industrial, chemical, or operational environments.

Experience leading global teams and programs across multiple regions.
