  • Director, Global Investment Banking, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, New York, NY:
    Coordinating with Industry, Product, and other groups to evaluate and originate new business ideas/opportunities. Identifying and pursuing investment banking business opportunities in furtherance of agreed budgets and plans. Overseeing the work of VPs, Associates, and Analysts in the development of pitch books and related client materials. Proactively identifying operational risks/control deficiencies in the business. Escalating operational risk loss events, control deficiencies, risks, and control functions on a timely basis. Developing client relationships, developing business opportunities, and transaction execution. Building RBC's presence in the above-referenced area and/or assisting with other areas as directed by the Firm. Reviewing and complying with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities.
    Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week.

    Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $275,000.00 per year.
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    Must have a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field, and 6 years of related work experience, of which 5 years are progressive post baccalaureate related work experience.
    Must have 6 years of experience in:
  • Capital markets;
  • Spreadsheet modeling utilizing Microsoft Excel, including analysis at various prices, discounted cash flow analysis, ability to pay analysis, accretion/dilution, and leveraged buyout analysis;
  • Managing all aspects of transaction processes, including preparation of pitches, financial analyses, valuations, and marketing materials as well as conducting due diligence, managing
    day-to-day communication with client and counterparty;
  • Presenting analyses and deliverables in both internal and external meetings; and,
  • Transactional experience in both buy-side and sell-side mandates with public companies as well as fairness opinion assignments.
  • Must have certification series 79 and 63.
    International travel required up to 20%. Domestic travel required up to 20%.
    The base salary for this job is $275,000.00 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
