Estimator / Product Quoting Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimator / Product Quoting Specialist to prepare accurate quotes for laminated sheet products. Most requests include 5 to 10 product configurations, each with 4 to 5 components to identify and cost.
This role reviews customer requests, confirms material and labor costs, obtains vendor pricing when needed, and prepares clear customer estimates. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate with numbers, comfortable with spreadsheets, and able to clarify specifications with vendors and internal teams.
Responsibilities

  • Review customer quote requests, project plans and product configurations.
  • Look up stock material and labor costs.
·         Interpret custom material specifications and request vendor quotes when needed.
  • Compare and organize vendor pricing.
  • Identify missing, unclear, or conflicting information.
  • Coordinate with sales, production, purchasing, and vendors on scope, materials, lead times, and pricing.
  • Prepare accurate customer quotes with clear assumptions and supporting details.
·         Maintain estimate records, vendor pricing, quote history, and spreadsheet inputs.
  • Help improve quoting accuracy, consistency, and speed.
Qualifications

  • Experience in estimating, quoting, purchasing, or project coordination preferred.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills, especially Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
  • Comfortable working with product configurations, material lists, pricing tables, and vendor quotes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
  • Ability to interpret written product specifications and ask clarifying questions.
  • Clear communication skills with customers, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Experience with wood products, veneer, laminate, sheet goods, cabinetry, millwork, furniture, manufacturing, or building materials is a strong plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple quote requests and deadlines.
