Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Fraud Analyst & Revenue Protection Specialist to support operational integrity and safeguard company revenue. This role is responsible for identifying fraudulent activity, analyzing trends, and providing actionable insights to leadership while also contributing to system improvements and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Fraud Analysis & Revenue Protection

  • Monitor and analyze fraud-related activity, including refunds, discounts, cancellations, and sales anomalies.
  • Conduct in-depth investigations across multiple systems to identify suspicious behavior and compliance gaps.
  • Compile clear, data-driven reports that support leadership decision-making and policy enforcement.
  • Identify trends, risks, and patterns to proactively mitigate fraud and protect revenue.
  • Partner with leadership and HR to escalate findings and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

Reporting & Data Analysis

  • Utilize tools such as Power BI and QuickBase to extract, analyze, and interpret large datasets.
  • Generate and maintain reports related to refunds, commissions, churn, and comp activity.
  • Perform data validation across multiple systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Create summaries and dashboards highlighting key insights, performance gaps, and opportunities.

Investigations & Compliance

  • Conduct detailed transaction-level research, including payment validation, account activity, and employee involvement.
  • Review system records to ensure proper procedures are followed and document any discrepancies.
  • Evaluate operational behaviors to distinguish between fraud risks and training opportunities.
  • Support compliance efforts by documenting findings and maintaining audit-ready records.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of operational reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Provide feedback on POS systems and internal tools to improve usability and real-world functionality.
  • Help streamline reporting processes through automation, standardization, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience working with data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, QuickBase or similar systems)
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Experience in fraud analysis, auditing, loss prevention, or revenue protection preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with transaction-based systems, POS platforms, or financial data
  • Knowledge of fraud detection methodologies and compliance practices
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, conditional formatting, data manipulation)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and support operational improvements
