  • Work Location: Remote with periodic travel required for role-specific needs (e.g., conferences, client meetings, sales events), with mandatory travel to the Denver, CO office for in-person meetings, training, and collaboration. Position Summary
VeilSun is seeking a results-driven Account Manager to own and expand a portfolio of existing client relationships, with a clear focus on revenue growth and long-term account value - without impacting retention. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing expansion opportunities by aligning VeilSun's services and partner solutions to client business priorities.
This role requires expertise in selling into complex, highly regulated, and relationship-driven industries, including an understanding of organizational structures, market dynamics, key decision-makers, and the realities of how sales get done in these environments.
As an Account Manager, you will act as a primary commercial owner of your account's growth -proactively uncovering opportunities, building pipelines within existing clients, and converting those opportunities into measurable revenue growth. Success in this role requires a balance of strategic account planning, consultative selling, and disciplined execution to deepen relationships, expand wallet share, and position VeilSun as a long-term partner.
This role is ideal for a driven, highly organized, consultative sales professional who thrives in relationship development, prospecting and selling complex, custom software solutions. You will be responsible for hunting in current accounts, qualifying and closing opportunities, and serving as a trusted advisor to leaders evaluating technology solutions.
You will work closely with Solution Engineers, Customer Success Managers, and delivery leadership to ensure radical alignment between client needs and VeilSun's capabilities, ultimately driving long-term value and successful client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth & Account Expansion
  • Drive growth within current accounts through proactive outbounding and relationship building
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and decision-makers
  • Open and convert new lines of business within existing accounts
  • Identify, qualify, and close expansion opportunities including upgrades, renewals, cross-sells, and add-on services
  • Manage pricing discussions and renewal conversations within established guidelines
  • Ensure full understanding of client procurement process to accurately forecast and set expectations
  • Create value within existing relationships to gain introductions to new contacts, teams, and departments
  • Manage and forecast an expansion pipeline for VeilSun services and partner offerings (e.g., Quickbase)
Collaboration & Delivery Alignment
  • Work closely with Delivery teams (Developers, Architects, Solution Engineers, Technical Project Managers) to align on scope, roadmap, and client expectations
  • Act as a liaison between VeilSun, our technology partners, and client stakeholders
  • Support co-selling efforts with partner sales teams as applicable
  • Ensure a smooth handoff from sales to delivery and ongoing alignment throughout the client lifecycle
  • Maintain balance of client advocation and protecting internal alignment and best practices
Strategic Account Management
  • Support strategic account planning for assigned clients
  • Participate in and present Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for key accounts
  • Track and report on account health, pipeline, renewals, and expansion opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records and forecasts in CRM and other internal systems
  • Stay current on VeilSun's offerings, low-code platforms, AI technologies and tools, and emerging industry trends
  • Report directly to the Head of Sales and contribute to broader sales strategy
  • Support additional initiatives and responsibilities as assigned by VeilSun leadership
Master Communication & Organization
  • Maintains rigorous organization across pipeline, priorities, and deal movement
  • Maintains excellent CRM hygiene and data integrity
  • Communicates clearly and concisely with stakeholders and internal teams
Experience & Qualifications
Required
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience
  • 1+ years selling custom software, technical platforms, or professional services (not off-the-shelf products)
  • 3+ years selling into the following industries: manufacturing, healthcare, construction/AEC, or financial services.
  • Experience managing existing client relationships with revenue responsibility
  • Proven success in outbound prospecting and new business development
  • Strong discovery, qualification, and consultative selling skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently
Preferred
  • Hands-on industry experience or a deep understanding of operational workflows within manufacturing, healthcare, construction/AEC, or financial services.
  • Experience selling industry-specific software or technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with common platforms or systems used within target industries.
  • Technical or construction-related education
  • Formal sales methodology training (Challenger, MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, Sandler, or similar)
  • Experience with account-based selling or marketing strategies
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$120,000, depending on experience, with on-target earnings (OTE) of $170,000-$200,000, inclusive of base salary and commission. This role is eligible for a commission plan based on performance.
