Overview

Responsibilities
The Corporate Regional Director of Patient Access provides leadership, direction, and administrative guidance to all Prime Healthcare Admitting Areas in all aspects of the Admitting department as well as all Patient Accounting Department as it relates to issues that flow from admitting to the Patient Accounting Departments. This includes all registration functions within relevant admitting areas of the hospital, Information Desk, financial counseling, Insurance Verification Cashier processes, hospital mail processes as well as the PBX areas. Is responsible for all Standardized Training and Education as it relates to all Prime Healthcare Admitting and PFS departments as directed. Functions as the Corporate Admitting Core Team Leader for implementations, and conversions; responsible for the development of training materials. Supports Corporate PFS Director as directed.
Key Duties:
  • Demonstrated operational proficiency in Epic (Grand Central, Prelude, Cadence) in a live production environment; implementation or optimization experience preferred
  • Manages daily work queue volume and aging to established thresholds, prioritizing revenue-critical queues (registrations edits, eligibility/COB, authorization, MSP) before claim submission deadlines
  • Monitors work queue trending to identify systemic registration defects and drives correction at the source rath than at the rework stage
  • Owns end to end Patient Access workflow design across scheduling, preregistering, financial clearance arrival/check, check in and ED registration
  • Documents and maintains click-level standard work for each registration workflow, ensuring consistency across all access points and shits
  • Align local workflows to enterprise standards
  • Validates workflow changes in ERH before deployment and confirms staff competency post-change through audit
  • Partners with other departments to close authorization gaps ahead of day of service

Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
  1. High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree required.
  2. Two (2) to three (3) years experience as a Director in the Admitting areas of an acute care facility required, with management and leadership experience of five (5) to eight (8) years preferred.
  3. Preferred Skills and Abilities: Must be able to demonstrate understanding of and ability to interpret regulatory standards as they apply to the Admitting areas as well as OSHPD, CMS and EMTALA regulations. Strong organizational skills required for effective communication with Prime Healthcare Services Corporate, Prime Healthcare Associates, physicians, public, staff and local administrations. Must be able to work in fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  4. EPIC implementation required.

Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $93,080 to $134,804 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
