About the role
Ready to take the next step in manufacturing leadership? Quantum Fulfillment Services is seeking a Floor Supervisor to lead daily production operations across multiple manufacturing stations. This role is responsible for leading Station Leads and production employees, achieving shift performance goals, ensuring safe operations, maintaining product quality, and delivering operational excellence.
What you'll do
  • Lead daily production operations across multiple manufacturing stations, supervising, coaching, and developing Station Leads and production employees.
  • Own shift performance by ensuring safety, quality, productivity, labor efficiency, and customer deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Plan and adjust labor assignments throughout the shift to meet production priorities.
  • Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions when performance falls below expectations.
  • Conduct employee coaching and performance discussions, addressing attendance, conduct, and performance concerns in accordance with company policy.
  • Resolve operational issues and make timely decisions to maintain production flow.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Shipping, and other departments to minimize downtime and improve operational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Develop Station Leads through ongoing coaching, feedback, and leadership development.
  • Promote cross-training and workforce flexibility to support changing production demands.
  • Rotate periodically between day and night shifts to provide leadership coverage; advance notice will be provided.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of prior supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment (required).
  • Experience in printing, book manufacturing, or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and hold employees accountable, including direct experience with performance management and disciplinary processes.
  • Experience managing production schedules, labor planning, staffing, and workflow.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to analyze production performance and make sound operational decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule & Shift Expectations
Floor Supervisors rotate between day and night shifts throughout the year based on business needs, with schedule notice provided whenever possible.
Standard Schedule (Off-Season)
    • Day Shift: 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM
    • Night Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM

Production Season Schedule
    • Day Shift: 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM
    • Night Shift: 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM
    • Weekend work is required based on production demands.
