BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution  with 4 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment with quality management systems responsibilities OR High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution and 7 years of progressive experience in quality in a manufacturing environment, investment casting and quality management systems responsibilities
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS Degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Quality System audit experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self starter and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrates competent use of automated order system.
  • Solid base knowledge of manufacturing process and flow of material.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to develop and use planning strategies.

Job Responsibilities

This Quality Systems Specialist position will support the administration of quality manuals, continuous improvement initiatives & interaction with business center personnel on quality initiatives.  Application of root cause analysis & corrective/preventative action as appropriate.   This position will be responsible to:

Support Quality Management System for assigned plant

  • Conduct annual internal audits per AS9100 requirements.
  • Coordinate and support external audits for certification bodies E.g. AS9100, Nadcap.
  •  Coordinate and support customer audits (internal & external)
  • Review and implement quality system changes.
  • Corrective Action Board (CAB) meeting administrator

Support supplier partnerships

  • Drive root cause on CARs to reduce incoming material issues
  • Coordinate and support supplier on-site visits for audits and problem solving
  • Provide feedback to BU Supplier Quality on Supplier scorecards for OTD and PPM

QE Support

  • Manage inventory and customer MRB submission tracking for non-conforming material to closure.
  • Customer communication for certification/problem resolution.
  • Specification review.
