Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Quality Control (QC) Manager to oversee quality compliance for a major Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) project valued at $10 Million+. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in federal construction standards, multi-disciplinary systems, and rigorous quality tracking protocols.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Federal Quality Management: Execute and oversee the federal Three-Phase Control Process (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-up phases) across all stages of construction.
โ€ข Documentation & Coordination: Review, track, and meticulously manage complex submittal packages, RFIs, and testing/commissioning logs.
โ€ข Multi-Disciplinary Oversight: Manage and inspect multi-disciplinary features of work, ensuring compliance across Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.
โ€ข Cross-Inspection Alignment: Maintain a strong working knowledge of safety and health requirements to facilitate seamless quality-safety cross-inspections on-site.
Qualifications
Requirements & Qualifications
โ€ข QC Specific Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience acting specifically as a Construction Quality Control Manager on major commercial or federal construction projects.
โ€ข Total Field Experience: Minimum of 10 years of total combined construction field experience (e.g., as a Project Manager, Superintendent, Project Engineer, or QC Inspector) focusing on vertical building construction or major medical center renovations.
โ€ข Technical Scope: Proven, verifiable experience managing multi-disciplinary features of work (Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP).
โ€ข Certifications:
โ€ข Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
โ€ข Direct working knowledge of and/or training compliance with EM 385-1-1 Standards (USACE Safety and Health Requirements Manual).
