Job description

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Quality Control Manager is to develop, implement, and manage quality control process and systems to ensure the quality of parts, supplies, materials, and finished goods. The Quality Control Manager should also serve as a working team member and individual contributor to the overall team’s success.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve customer issues and complaints relating to quality
  • Supervise quality inspection and testing activities to ensure accuracy, high productivity and high technical integrity of product throughout the production cycle
  • Generate spreadsheets for data collection and analysis
  • Review statistical data and product specifications to establish quality standards
  • Formulate, document, and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality objectives
  • Partner with the General Manger to coordinate objectives which maximize product quality/reliability and minimize costs
  • Create, document, and implement inspection criteria and procedures
  • Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes
  • Maintain an active role on internal continuous improvement teams
  • Interact with engineering and purchasing departments as necessary regarding vendor quality issues
  • Adhere to applicable company and regulatory agency environmental, health and safety standards
  • Ensure that The Mersino Way is a guiding document in all daily activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Skills in workflow analysis and management
  • 2-3 years supervisory or management experience
  • 2-3 years experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment or related field
  • Planning and organizational skills in handling multiple projects
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a changing environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet job requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
