Job Summary
This role will develop and implement a scalable quality management framework to support consistent product quality and manufacturing performance across the Carhartt global sourcing network - including finished goods vendors and raw material suppliers. This role will lead the transformation of existing quality processes-including inspections, testing, and supplier audits-into an integrated system of vendor collaboration, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making. The position will partner closely with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Sourcing, Supply Chain Operations, Customer Care and Distribution to embed standardized quality processes throughout the product lifecycle. This individual will serve as the internal subject matter expert on quality systems and will drive adoption of new processes and tools across internal teams and external manufacturing partners.

Associate Responsibilities
  • Review and assess existing Quality process and procedures to develop a roadmap and project plan to transition from an audit-focused approach to a comprehensive, structured QMS framework
  • Coordinate the phased execution of the QMS implementation - including pilot programs, checkpoints and measures of project health throughout the project and ongoing execution of Quality processes.
  • Provide regular project updates to Quality management and cross-functional department leadership
  • Develop and maintain the department standard operating procedures, standards and manuals to ensure consistent approach and execution of quality processes across both internal departments and external suppliers, with a bias towards automation and AI where it's applicable.
  • Partner with Quality team leaders and cross-functional subject-matter experts to define and implement performance metrics and dashboards to monitor supplier performance, consumer feedback trends and overall system effectiveness.
  • Develop training materials and programs to support the implementation of Quality Management tools and processes across the organization.
  • Support development and implementation of supplier quality programs by the Finished Goods and Raw Material Quality teams through creation of processes, tools and training programs for external suppliers.
  • Ensure effectiveness of the QMS across the department through introduction of risk-based programs, preventative methodologies, process control expectations and continuous improvement practices.
  • Facilitate internal department and cross-functional meetings on Quality state, measures and risks.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent years of experience required.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 3 or more years of experience supporting a Quality function within a Global apparel brand
  • Demonstrated experience with Quality systems and tools, including ANSI AQL auditing, textile performance and testing and operational excellence within a consumer product organization
  • Ability to develop and deliver training for others on tools and systems
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and deliver complex projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to communicate with all levels including upper management and retail partners
  • Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to be detailed-oriented and accurate to ensure data integrity
  • Advanced Skills in Microsoft office required

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Typical office environment; office setting. Extended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer is required.
  • National travel required (up to 10%).
  • This position has a Remote location: Associate will have no regular requirement to be on-site. Travel on-site is limited to special events.
