Job description

Purpose of Position
Responsible for the Global Gilbarco Veeder-Root quality management system (QMS) and all of its related compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Β Β Β Β Manage quality policies, procedures, processes, programs, and practices, to assure the company of continuous improvement, conformance and effectiveness.
Β Β Β Β Manage global quality systems share point and records system.
Β Β Β Β Coordinate with global QMS leaders to ensure awareness and understanding of the Quality Management System.
Β Β Β Β Manage internal audit system and team of auditors.
Β Β Β Β Notify management of QMS audit findings and corrective actions taken.
Β Β Β Β Ensure that the procedures and processes prescribed by the quality management system are in place and implemented.
Β Β Β Β QMS introduction training and auditor training as needed.
Β Β Β Β Drive quality related policy deployment objectives.
Β Β Β Β Utilize statistical methods and root cause problem solving in analyzing quality issues and quality standards.
Β Β Β Β Assist in the development of action plans in support of quality related policy deployment objectives and improvement projects.
Β Β Β Β Provide input and recommendations for the identification and selection of improvement projects.
Β Β Β Β Manage QMS and all of its related compliance.
Β Β Β Β Assist management and project teams in selecting quality measures and setting up quality reporting systems.
Β Β Β Β Lead kaizen and problem-solving events.
Β Β Β Β Other duties as assigned.

Background and Skill
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline-ideally in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Electro-mechanicalΒ 
Β Β Β Β 3 years of people leadership experience
Β Β Β Β 7 years in a manufacturing environment
Β Β Β Β Must have work experience in a manufacturing engineer or production
Β Β Β Β 3-5 years of experience in quality planning, tools and analysis in a manufacturing environmentΒ 
Β Β Β Β Knowledge of quality principles and tools (problem analysis, statistical tools, design of experiments, reliability, control charts and other quality methodologies) with the ability to train others
Β Β Β Β Must have experience with overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS) for a site or division
Β Β Β Β Lead Auditor certified with 1-3 years of experience in a Lead Auditor position
Β Β Β Β Previous Lean experience, Green to Black Belt certified
Β Β Β Β Prefer someone that has spent a large portion of career in an automotive or aerospace environment
Β Β Β Β Good systems and data acquisition knowledge: Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Β Β Β Β Experience with various regulatory standards (ISO, UL, etc).Β 
Β Β Β Β  IATF/TS 16949 experience highly desirable.
