Job description

As an experienced Quality Inspector, you will oversee and coordinate all activities related to Inspections, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control on a fast-paced project site. Your responsibilities will include managing documents and procedures, ensuring adherence to quality processes, and supporting the Project QA/QC Manager in implementing and maintaining robust quality standards.
You are a problem solver with a strong drive for continuous improvement, always seeking innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes. With your expertise and attention to detail, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of quality on-site.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Inspect earthworks & soils (compaction, density, moisture, lift thickness)
  • Lead concrete inspections with a focus on foundations and pile caps, including formwork, rebar placement and cover, embeds, pre-placement verification, concrete placement, consolidation, curing, and post-placement activities
  • Inspect grouting and perform dimensional control & tolerance checks
  • Coordinate and review third-party testing (compaction testing, concrete testing, etc.)
  • Verify work against drawings, specifications, relevant codes, and project requirements
  • Identify non-conformances, initiate reports, perform root cause analysis, and support corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, test data, and turnover documentation.
  • Provide coaching to junior inspectors and support site training
  • Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years progressive civil QA/QC experience
  • Strong background in soil/compaction testing, concrete inspection (especially foundations and pile caps), piling/foundations, and third-party testing coordination
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • This is a site-based staff position
