Job description

QC Coordinator
Job Summary This position is responsible for data entry and organization within the Quality Department. Including but not limited to confirmation of the proper handling for all product to ensure the highest quality part possible. Responsibilities also include verifying quality of parts cast, machined or assembled by YNA, analyzing part failure, investigating root causes behind quality problems, and recommend effective countermeasures.
Essential Functions
* Verifies quality of manufactured parts using CMM, Gear Tester, and Contracer.
* Analyses abnormal parts to determine if part can be salvaged or should be scrapped.
* Assists with Investigations to determine the Root Cause behind quality problems.
* Assists with in-house training activities by leading change point control training.
* Issues Sort Procedures when internal conditions require sort activity, monitors sort activities to ensure guidelines are met, that the sort is * conducted properly and all suspect parts are contained.
* Communicates with suppliers and customers to ensure quality parts are being supplied and delivered.
* Track quality training to ensure all Associates have been trained on NLOQ required items.
* Organize and input Internal IPP Tags to the database.
* Organize and input NG tickets in the Solar Soft system.
* Filing of Production checksheets, Internal and Customer IPP Tags, and other documentation produced that must be maintained for retention for ISO/TS requirements.
* Performs clerical activities in the Quality Control Department.
* Reports to Department on scrap, overtime, training, and QC tool inventory.

Other Functions
* Oral and written translation
* Interacts with co-workers, customers, outside vendors, and government officials.
* Maintains a clean working environment.
* Continuously seeks to improve processes and procedures.
* Promotes a safe working environment for all Associates.

Requirements
Education: Associates Degree in Quality or related field
Experience: Two to Four years Quality Control experience in a high-volume machining or production environment in which high-quality standards are maintained.
Skills: Position requires the ability to teach others and specific knowledge of standard Quality Control test equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, spectrometers, microscopes, and CMM, the ability to read and understand part drawings, understanding of FMEA and IPP systems. The position requires the understanding or ability to learn the concept of 3D and x, y, and z coordinates. Additionally, computer, interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills are also required.
Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to work in a climate-controlled office, walk on concrete floors, lift up to 20 pounds, perform repetitive keystrokes on a continual basis, and occasionally bend, kneel, twist, and reach.
