Job description

IMC is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead and continuously improve our Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs across all projects. This role partners closely with Project Executives and project teams to ensure work is delivered in full alignment with contract documents, codes, and IMC’s quality standards while proactively mitigating risk and driving predictable, high-quality outcomes.

With a strong focus on MEP/FP systems, building envelope performance, and water damage prevention, the QA/QC Manager serves as both a technical expert and trusted advisor, reinforcing IMC’s Plan-Do-Check-Act philosophy and culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

QA/QC Program Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve companywide QA/QC procedures, checklists, and tools.
  • Partner with project teams to create and execute project-specific QA/QC Plans, including inspection, testing, and documentation requirements.
  • Lead QA/QC kickoff meetings and ensure plan compliance throughout construction.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes.

Field Quality & Risk Management

  • Perform regular field walks to assess workmanship, materials, and compliance with QA/QC plans and manufacturer requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track quality issues and trends using Procore tools; coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Verify closeout of non-conforming work, third-party inspections, and testing reports.
  • Provide clear quality and risk updates to project and executive leadership.
  • Support Lean 5S housekeeping and overall field quality culture.

Mockups, Constructability & Preconstruction

  • Assist project teams in planning, executing, and approving mockups as the benchmark for installed work.
  • Lead constructability and design reviews to identify quality risks, coordination challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with designers and trade partners to resolve detailing issues prior to installation.

MEP/FP Systems & Commissioning

  • Oversee quality and readiness of all MEP/FP installations, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Verify completeness of above-ceiling/in-wall documentation, prefunctional checklists, start-up procedures, and turnover deliverables.
  • Coordinate with commissioning agents, engineers, and trade partners to resolve deficiencies and support successful turnover.

Water Damage Prevention & Continuous Improvement

  • Enforce IMC’s Water Damage and Mold Prevention Plan, including dry-in, environmental controls, and protection protocols.
  • Conduct site audits, investigate water intrusion events, and drive lessons learned into company processes and training.
  • Train, mentor, and coach project teams on QA/QC best practices; analyze quality metrics and lead root cause analyses.
